Re:Test Engineers can help you with Suspension Testing.
Automotive suspensions are subjected to a complex environment of multi-axial forces, temperatures, and road slush that varies significantly with customer usage and geographic location. To fully validate a design, automotive suspensions must be thoroughly tested. Tests range from validating individual components, to performing full assembly tests on the vehicle structure. In all cases, careful attention needs to be paid to the input loads and the boundary conditions to ensure the dynamic stress distribution is accurately reproduced. If it is not, test results are compromised. Critical locations that lead to failure are incorrectly identified, and design modifications are not targeted to the area of weakness. With over 28 years of experience, Nigel Linden can help you with all aspects of automotive suspension testing. His experience ranges from designing suspension test systems, developing block profiles, using fatigue analysis to derive PVT sequences, performing real-time simulation etc. If you need help with performing field instrumentation and strain gauging, field data acquisition, data analysis, fatigue life prediction, fixture design, or test design we can help. Re:Test is the only unbiased source for help on automotive suspension testing. Because we are not affiliated with an equipment supplier, we are uniquely positioned to be able to provide you with the advice you need, given your requirements and circumstances. Some examples of suspension testing we have experience with are:
Our on-line training class teaches students to use servo-hydraulic test equipment for testing, or we can provide you with on-site consulting, training, or work on a specific issue for you. We can also help you with outsourcing your suspension testing, developing test lab strategies, designing tests, or expanding your testing capabilities.
