Fatigue is still the greatest contributor to product failure. A clear understanding is essential for product and test development. Tests should always be designed with an eye towards reproducing fatigue, it is usually the failure mechanism we are trying to reproduce.

Nigel Linden has been involved with Fatigue testing for over 28 years. From his first job in 1979 at the Materials Engineering Department at GKN Technology under the famous Dr. Peter Watson (of Smith-Watson-Topper (SWT) fame), he has had the opportunity to work on fatigue problems in a broad range of applications.

If you need help with performing field instrumentation and strain gauging, field data acquisition, data analysis,  fatigue life prediction,  or test design we can help.
